Ethan Carlos is the owner and head coach of Catalyst Performance Systems.

He has been coaching since 2021 and has worked with a wide range of clients, from first-timers learning the basics in the gym to experienced powerlifting competitors preparing for competition. Through this experience, Ethan has developed a coaching approach built around clear communication, personalised programming and helping each client understand the process behind their progress.

Ethan’s passion for training comes from his own experience. In a busy life, training has always been the thing that keeps him grounded. It provides structure, focus and a clear sense of progression, qualities that now form the foundation of Catalyst Performance Systems. For Ethan, coaching is not just about writing programs or counting reps. It is about helping people build the same sense of direction, confidence and control in their own training.

His approach is centred on education. Ethan believes clients should understand why they are doing something, not just follow instructions. By teaching the reasoning behind training, nutrition and habit development, he helps clients build the decision-making skills and confidence needed to eventually manage their own progress.

Currently studying physiotherapy, Ethan continues to develop his knowledge of human movement, biomechanics, strength training and injury management. Combined with years of hands-on coaching and personal development, this background allows him to assess movement, prescribe effective progressions, reduce injury risk and optimise performance for each individual.

At Catalyst Performance Systems, Ethan coaches with clarity, competence and care. His goal is to help people who feel unsure, intimidated or stuck build strength, improve lifestyle habits and create a healthier life they understand how to maintain.
